Public consultation on the Property (Relationships) Act 1976
We are almost half way through our public consultation period on the Property (Relationships) Act. We have met many interesting and interested people who have helpfully shared their views. This consultation is an invaluable source of information for us and is an important part of our process. We thank everybody who has already had the time to let us know what you think.
Submissions close in just over two months (on 7 February). This might seem a wee while away but we have the Christmas break in that time… although perhaps the holiday is a great time to curl up with the Issues Paper for some peace and quiet and the chance to capture your thoughts and ideas on the PRA. The link to the consultation website is here prareview.lawcom.govt.nz.
There are also five public meetings left and please do come along if you are in town:
• Invercargill – 12 noon, 4 December, Invercargill Library (50 Dee Street)
• Dunedin – 12 noon, 5 December, Otago Branch, NZ Law Society, John Wickliffe House (265 Princes St)
• Kerikeri – 12 noon, 6 December, Keri Keri RSA (37 Cobham Rd)
• Whangarei - 12 noon, 7 December, Whangarei Community Law Centre, St John’s Golden Church (149 Kamo Rd, Kensington)
• Nelson – 12 noon, 13 December, Fairfield House (48 Van Diemen St)
