Cannabis Law Reform Support Rally in Wellington
Patients, caregivers and supporters will gather at parliament 26th October from 11am in support of the new Labour-led Governmentscannabis law reform policies.
The Labour Party have promised to:
• Introduce legislation to make medicinal cannabis available for people with terminal illnesses or in chronic pain.
• Hold a binding referendum on legalising cannabis for personal use by or at the 2020 election.
• Increase funding for alcohol and drug addiction services.
• Ensure drug use is treated as a health issue.
Supporters are also appealing on Police Commissioner Mike Bush to immediately introduce a moratorium on cannabis arrests for patients and their supporters while legislation is introduced.
Bring your friends, dress to impress, be polite and respectful. This is a show of support not a demonstration or protest. Bring your smiles, angry people stay home.
