The Auditor-General’s Annual Report 2016/17 is now available on our website. Please note that PDF and physical copies of the report will be available after it has been presented to the House of Representatives once Parliament resumes sitting.
In this report, we describe the Office’s work in 2016/17 in what was a year of significant challenges and changes. The Deputy Auditor-General thanks all staff and contracted audit service providers for their commitment during a challenging year. He reflects that it was also a rewarding year that saw increasing impact from our work.
The report provides the Office’s financial statements for 2016/17. It also describes the services the Office was funded to deliver in 2016/17, and how well the Office delivered those services.
The report notes the progress made towards our goal of embedding integrated reporting into our planning and reporting processes. This year, the report provides greater insight about our performance and the six critical resources that we must manage well to be effective as an Office.
