New Zealand Outdoors Party 2017 Election
New Zealand Outdoors Party 2017 Election
Our way of life is founded on our ability to access and enjoy the great outdoors for recreation and food gathering, this is what makes us uniquely New Zealand. Our mission is simple: To protect and enhance those values for everyone, for ever.
We want future generations to be able to enjoy our natural environment from the seas to the mountain tops and have this opportunity protected and set in stone now.
A big Hi to all members and supporters.
Well the election is almost done and dusted I suspect a lot of people will have made their mind up how they are going to vote by now. As a new party we have struggled to get any real oxygen from the media but I think we have made some good inroads into getting people to hear about us and consider voting for us.
Our official registration with the Electoral Commission came very late, in fact we were the last party to qualify. One result of the delay was that our roadside signs did not get delivered until early September. We did a get a good number up but really missed many places. Next time we will not be in that position.
The party is standing four Electorate
Candidates; Derrick Paull in Maungakiekie, Alan Simmons in
Taupo, Will Bearman-Riedel in Hutt South and David Haynes in
Nelson.

When you consider
your vote next Saturday please consider this!
If you vote
for National and Labour win is your vote wasted? If you vote
for Labour and National win is your vote wasted? If you vote
for the Outdoors Party and National or Labour win is your
vote wasted? The big parties will foster the wasted vote
idea to drive the party vote away from small parties like us
but let's turn it around on them. Under MMP is your party
vote for the big major parties WASTED?
We hope you will vote for us and we look forward to building on this election and be even more organised and experienced at the next. Onwards and upwards!
Cheers
Alan Simmons & David
Haynes
