Women of Influence congratulated by State Services Commissioner
State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes congratulates the winners and finalists of the 2017 Women of Influence Awards, held in Auckland last night.
“Increasing the diversity of the Public Service, especially in leadership roles, is a major priority for me, and a real focus for the Public Service Chief Executives,” Mr Hughes said.
Mr Hughes has given a special acknowledgement to the winner of the Public Policy award, Rebecca Kitteridge, Director of Security, New Zealand Security Intelligence Service.
Mr Hughes complimented the many other winners and finalists from the State services.
State servants were among the finalists in four of the ten award categories this year.
“The Women of Influence Awards are a great way to recognise and celebrate the contribution women leaders are making in so many different fields, and show the next generation of leaders what they can achieve,” Mr Hughes said.
