QE II National Trust delighted with board reappointments
QE II National Trust is pleased to announce that our Chair James Guild (MNZA) and Director Bruce Willis have been re-appointed to the Queen Elizabeth II National Trust by Minister of Conservation, Hon Maggie Barry.
QE II National Trust CEO, Mike Jebson says “both James and Bruce bring vast experience, passion and drive to their roles on the board, and we greatly value the continuity of service their reappointment brings. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary it is important that we continue to build on the momentum and great work that’s going on in farms and other privately owned land around the country.”
Jebson says “we currently have 4358 registered covenants covering 168,925ha. These protected areas play a hugely critical role as a refuge for some of New Zealand’s rarest and most endangered biodiversity and ecosystems.”
“Our board offers invaluable support and leadership to allow us to build the partnerships with land owners to protect hugely important natural and cultural heritage sites. We are delighted to be able to continue our work with James and Bruce,” says Mike Jebson.
The Minister of Conservation, Hon Maggie Barry announced yesterday that Chairperson James Guild (MNZA) and Director Bruce Wills have agreed to serve on the board for a further 3-year term.
