Oppose 18 Year Long Persecution of Falun Gong in China Rally and March

Auckland’s Sister City, Guangzhou, Complicit in that Persecution

The Falun Dafa Association of New Zealand (Inc.) will hold an event at 11:00 am, Thursday, 20 July 2017, Outside of Auckland Town Hall, Auckland, to condemn and call for an end to the 18 years of persecution of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners in China at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Since that persecution started on 20 July 1999, the CCP has subjected Falun Gong practitioners in China to illegal arrest, unlawful detention, brainwashing, torture and involuntary live organ harvesting.

Auckland Councillor, Dr Cathy Casey, has expressed support for this event and has urged Auckland Council and the Mayor of Auckland to raise the issue of persecution of Falun Gong with representatives of its sister city in China, Guangzhou.

The event is designed to call the attention of the public to the fact of this persecution, and to encourage them to join in support of the call for the end of the persecution and for the CCP to respect the fundamental human rights of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
