Governor Janet Hope joins International President Sonja
Hönig Schough in welcoming Helen Clark to honorary
membership of Zonta International.
Ms Clark joins Dame Sylvia Cartwright and Dr. Marilyn Waring as a member of this illustrious group of global women leaders.
Helen Clark was
also recognised in 2015 in the New Zealand Zonta 50 Women of
Achievement Awards, which coincided with celebrating 50
years of Zonta in New Zealand, for her ongoing work
promoting gender equality and women’s political, economic
and social participation.
An event
will be held to make a formal presentation to Ms Clark, the
details of which are yet to be finalised.
