Ian Cummings - Independent Candidate

For immediate release: 10 July 2017

Ian Cummings - Independent Candidate

Ian Cummings is pleased to announce that he will be campaigning for electorate votes to be elected as an Independent MP for Hunua.

“I look forward to the opportunity to engage voters and win their confidence to represent them in parliament as their local member of parliament (MP). I believe I can give Andrew Bailey, the sitting MP, a good run for his money. As an Independent candidate, I can be a real voice for change.”

“I believe I have the right leadership qualities and life skillset to effectively represent and deliver on the wishes of the electorate.”

Ian is a local family man, the general manager of a joint venture company managing major hazardous facilities and currently serves on the Pukekohe Christian School board as chairman.

He is an advocate for a reduction of politics in our every-day lives. “While most people say they are not interested in politics, the sad reality is - politics doesn’t return the favour. There are too many bureaucrats out there behaving as if they have a higher claim over our lives and property than we do. I want to change that.”

“As an Independent MP representing Hunua I would be free of MMP party politics and political correctness. Therefore, I could more effectively concentrate on representing the best interests of the Hunua electorate first and foremost.”

“I offer to voters of Hunua who are tired of the same old empty promises, a clear and credible choice.”

“A majority vote for Ian Cummings would absolutely guarantee what Hunua voters need, a real voice for changechange that matters.”
