Sam McDonald has been selected as the Tāmaki Labour Party candidate in the 2017 General Election.
“I look forward to campaigning in the Tāmaki electorate on the issues that matter locally – transport and infrastructure, decent housing, health, and education” said Sam McDonald.
“Having worked in the community as a teacher and criminal lawyer, I have witnessed the barriers many in our community face and I am passionate about advocating for local people here in Tāmaki ”, said Sam McDonald.
Sam McDonald grew up in Auckland and now works as an Educational Facilitator at UNITEC.
Labour President, Prof Nigel Haworth, said: “Sam joins our list of energetic, fresh candidates who will stand for Labour this year. Our focus is on electing a strong, Labour-led government in September that will back the Kiwi Dream and help every New Zealander get ahead.”
