Kiwis Say No to Chinese Communist Propaganda

Kiwis Say No to Chinese Communist Propaganda

Yesterday, a Chinese female drove a vehicle with a trailer which displayed language of the kind used by the Chinese Communist Party in its persecution of Falun Gong . The matter has been referred to the Police. The New Zealand Falun Dafa community is contemplating legal action.

The 18 year-long persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual cultivation practice, has been condemned by respected and independent organisations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Freedom House, to name a few. That persecution extends to Tibetan Buddhists, House Church Christians, and others.

There is no place in New Zealand for language that incites hatred of a persecuted group. Many of the Falun Gong practitioners in New Zealand were persecuted in China on account of their faith in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and were granted asylum here accordingly. Some even lost immediate family members to that unprecedented persecution. They are therefore deeply saddened to see this propaganda in a country like New Zealand which respects the Right to Freedom of Religious Belief.
