the effectiveness of emergency responses for the Pike River mine disaster, the Earthquakes and the recent fires in the
Canterbury & Hawks Bay provinces. Alerts updates for Tsumami, Volcano and Water issues need to be considered too.
Areas for investigation would include emergency call centre responses, the chain of command information, warning
mechanisms, executive actions and responses; and the structure and effectiveness of the Civil Defence organisation and
how everyone is updated.
