Peter Wakeman the PM no reply on Airport fire engines
Peter Wakeman had no reply on his request to talk to the PM about Christchurch Airport Fire engines. He sent yesterday's e-mail "Please can I speak with the PM...re Fire fighting"
Wakeman who is in the Mt Albert by-election, say's this was after a phone call to the PM's office which asked him to e-mail his request.
Wakeman say's when he was fighting fires with his father he learn how you need very quick action. When Airport fire engines have large water tanks and are not allowed to be used away from a airport, it is something that needs to change urgently.
While Wakeman welcomes the PM State of Emergency to use the Army in fighting fires in Canterbury, the PM has yet to comment on the use Airport fire engines.
