Week of Peace and March for Peace

Week of Peace Sun13 Nov-Sun 20th [See Events] & March for Peace Sat 17 Nov - Auckland

The March for Peace - Say NO to WAR event (2pm Sat Nov 17, Aotea Square) is a family-friendly peaceful protest to the International Armaments Fair occurring at the Viaduct Basin Precinct (Fri 16-17 Nov) and to the NZ Navy's hosting of 22 navies in the Waitemata Harbour the same week. This March for Peace will coincide with a Peace & Justice Flotilla on Waitemata Harbour organized by Auckland Peace Action.

It doesn't matter if you regard yourself as being on the political left or the political right, or outside the political-economic grid. Bombs, bullets and other ballistics will never be smart enough* to care or knowif you have a heart for innocent little people getting their lives destroyed by transnational empires fulfilling the diabolical power games of super-rich oligarchs vying for control of operational systems, new technologies, ideological power structures and material 'resources', including humans. [*We need to be worried that weapons are being developed in an artificial intelligence matrix that could make them 'smart' enough to know a populations' associations]. What matters is, it is you who can contribute to peaceful world by making yourself visible to oppose violent conflict. The March for Peace has been coordinated with the Auckland Police.
