New Zealand Chambers acknowledge Helen Kelly
The New Zealand Chambers of Commerce wishes to acknowledge the passing today of trade union stalwart Helen Kelly.
The Chambers are holding their annual conference in Wellington today.
Host John Milford, Chief Executive of Wellington Chamber of Commerce, said Ms Kelly made a big contribution to issues affecting working people.
“She was a fierce and tough advocate for them and for what she believed in, but she was always fair and prepared to listen to the other side of the argument. We have lost a New Zealander we can all be proud of."
