Hastings District Council preliminary results (ammended)

Hastings District Council’s preliminary election results are in, with Lawrence Yule again elected mayor.

The 14 councillors who will join him around the council table (subject to final results) are: George Lyons, Rod Heaps, Ann Redstone, Jacoby Poulan, Henare O'Keefe, Sandra Hazlehurst, Malcolm Dixon, Kevin Watkins, Damon Harvey, Geraldine Travers, Bayden Barber, Simon Nixon and Adrienne Pierce. Tania Kerr was elected unopposed in her electorate.

The Hastings District Rural Community Board members were elected unopposed: Nicholas Dawson (Kaweka Subdivision), Peter Kay (Maraekakaho); Mick Lester (Poukawa); Susan Maxwell (Tutira).

The Flaxmere Licensing Trust members, also elected unopposed, are Martha Greening, Susan Hopkins, Warwick Howie, Kenneth Kibblewhite, Bertram Lincoln and Jacoby Poulain.

The final results are expected to be announced by Friday.

PROGRESS RESULT
The progress result for the Hastings District Council elections held on Saturday 8th October is as follows.
This result is based upon the counting of approximately 98% of the returned votes. The progress result does not include some special votes and votes returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all votes have been counted.
