Israel has forced Women’s Boat to Gaza off its course
BREAKING NEWS: The Israeli Occupation Forces have illegally intercepted the Women’s Boat toGaza in international waters, forced it off course. Meanwhile Israel has conducted more than 25 bombing raids near Gaza City. NZ Green Party MP Marama Davidson is among the 13 women currently being detained.
Early this morning all contact with the Zaytouna-Oliva was lost and the Israeli Occupation Navy has illegally surrounded it in international waters (latest recorded position: Lat+31.906033 Lon+33.757630 – about 35 miles off the coast of Gaza) and has forced it off its course to Gaza. It is believed that the boat is currently being forced to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where all of her crew are expected to be detained. On board are 13 women, including NZ Green MP Marama Davidson, Mairead Maguire, the 1976 Nobel peace laureate from Northern Ireland, Fauziah Hasan, a doctor from Malaysia, and retired US army colonel Ann Wright. Kia Ora Gaza urges flotilla supporters to take urgent action to protect them now.
Please take action now. Demand that Israel ensure the safety & respect of all the women, and immediately releases the Women’s Boat to Gaza and all on board, and allow her to continue to her destination – the port of Gaza City.
