What: Flowers (white roses) for female MPs in recognition of 123 years since New Zealand women won the vote and the need to ensure that New Zealand pays women equally.
Where: Parliament stairs

Who: Jan Logie, Green MP, to
receive the flowers on behalf of all female MPs
The
card attached to the white rose reads:
“It’s been 123
years since New Zealand woman successfully won the right to
vote. Equal pay for work of equal value was one of the next
issues the campaign for women’s suffrage wanted to win.
123 years later getting to equal pay can be as easy as 1 -2
-3.
The Government must -
1. Implement the agreed
Equal Pay Principles
2. Settle the equal pay claim
taken by Kristine Bartlett on behalf of caregivers
3.
Allocate funding so that future equal pay claims can be
settled
Please take your white flower into the debating chamber on Tuesday, 20 September 2016 when the house is next sitting in support of equal pay.”
