My Food Bag terminates Chiefs sponsorship

My Food Bag has decided to terminate a three year partnership with the Chiefs rugby team following the outcomes of the investigation by the NZRU.

My Food Bag Founder & Co-CEO Cecilia Robinson said that the recent conduct at the post-season event was insupportable and does not reflect the values of My Food Bag, its staff or the thousands of families that My Food Bag serves each week.

“We wish the club and its players well and hope they will put appropriate processes in place to prevent anything such as this from happening again.”

My Food Bag will continue its strategy of sponsoring individual athletes.

The company has also confirmed they will donate the remaining Chiefs sponsorship fees for 2016 to the women’s refuge.
