Air New Zealand staff recognised for record profit
E tū and FARSA members at Air New Zealand will be celebrating a $2500 bonus today as the airline announces a record profit.
The bonus is recognition of the role Air New Zealand employees working through their union have played in achieving a fantastic result.
E tū has been in a high performance engagement partnership with Air New Zealand that works to achieve superior wages and job security while improving the company’s bottom line.
E tū Head of Aviation Kelvin Ellis says that the record profit and bonus demonstrate the value of companies working well with unions.
“This result shows that employers who pay well and respect working people and their union are able to achieve great success. Air New Zealand is not only a great place to work it’s also a highly profitable company.”
FARSA President Marja Lubeck says the equal payment of $2500 to all staff is a recognition that the profit is a result of outstanding work across the board.
“The Air New Zealand result is a reflection of the hard work of all, and we are pleased the company has recognised that by paying the same bonus across the board irrespective of an employee’s job title.”
E tū congratulates Air New Zealand on this year’s result.
