38 proposals to change council arrangements in Auckland
Thirty eight proposals for changing local government arrangements in Auckland have been received by the Local Government Commission.
The 38 included previously accepted applications from the Northern Action Group and Our Waiheke. More than 130 additional pieces of correspondence were also received “for” and “against” change.
The deadline for applications was Friday 24 June 2016 after a call for alternative applications was made on 14 April.
The next step is for the Commission to make an assessment of the proposals to determine how many meet the formal criteria of “alternative applications”. The alternative applications will then be published on the Commission’s website www.lgc.govt.nz
