Animal welfare public meetings begin this week
The Ministry for Primary Industries is seeking feedback on proposed animal welfare regulations, designed to improve the already strong requirements we have around animal welfare in New Zealand.
A series of public meetings will be held across the country beginning this week. Anyone with an interest in the proposals can attend to find out more information or to express their views.
More information on the proposals and how to make a submission can be found at www.mpi.govt.nz/animalwelfarefeedback.
Public consultation is open until 5pm 19 May 2016.
