RSA looks forward to final flag referendum

RSA looks forward to final flag referendum

The Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association says the result that really matters will be the outcome of the final referendum on the New Zealand flag in March next year.

The results of the first referendum have just been released.

RSA National President BJ Clark said: “New Zealanders now have a simple choice between the preferred option selected tonight and our current flag.

“The RSA will continue to campaign to keep our current flag, because that’s what the majority of our members want.

“We have also heard from many New Zealanders, young and old, supporting our stand and asking us to keep speaking up.”

Mr Clark is encouraging New Zealanders who support the current flag to fly it wherever they can.

“Not everyone has a flagpole so people can also fly the flag by getting a flag bumper sticker from the RSA and posting a virtual flag on social media.”

He says New Zealanders can also show their support on the RSA’s Facebook and Twitter accounts, and by making a donation through Givealittle.
