SAFVPN Congratulates Warehouse Group On Domestic Violence Prevention Measures
SAFVPN (Safer Aotearoa Family Violence Prevention Network) add our congratulations to The Warehouse Group of Companies
for the stance they have taken on not only reducing Domestic Violence harms but also preventing them
SAFVPN understands that The Warehouse Group has extended 10 days of paid leave to all 12,000 employees of their stores
including Noel Leeming, Online Stores and Warehouse Stationary. This 10 days leave specifically allows the employees to
deal with Domestic Violence issues. It also allows for the employees to move in to safer homes, if they have been in a
Domestic Violence Situations.
In the last 2 years alone, a reported 100 people died from Domestic Violence. Therefore, for a Large Group of Companies
like The Warehouse Group, this is an important stand.
