Auditor-General to inquire into Saudi Arabia Food Security Partnership

The Auditor-General, Lyn Provost, has decided to carry out an inquiry into the expenditure of public money on the Saudi Arabia Food Security Partnership.

Mrs Provost has received several requests, including from two members of Parliament, the New Zealand Taxpayers’ Union, and in a petition from over 10,000 New Zealanders, to inquire into aspects of the Partnership.

A letter setting out the terms of reference for the inquiry can be found on our website.

The Office does not normally make any public comment on the substance or progress of an inquiry while our work is under way. We will report publicly on our findings once we have concluded the inquiry.
