Change the NZ Flag Welcomes Top 40 Flag Designs
Change the NZ Flag welcomes the release by the Flag Consideration Panel of the top 40 flag designs for a new New Zealand flag.

"The top forty designs offer a glimpse of what could be - a flag that unites all New Zealanders and represents us to the world" said Lewis Holden, campaign chair.
"Not a single design features the Union Jack. That's a clear message that the Flag Consideration Panel thinks we are mature enough to have a flag designed by a New Zealander, representing New Zealand to the world" continued Mr Holden.
"The debate will now take a more serious tone, as the joke submissions have been eliminated. The hard questions will now be asked - should we have a silver fern or a koru on our flag? Should we keep the southern cross? What colours should we have on our flag? All of these questions may seem asinine but they are fundamental questions about our national identity" concluded Mr Holden.
