Long wait worth it for Problem Gambling Foundation
The Problem Gambling Foundation is delighted with the outcome of the Judicial Review and relieved the process is over after a long period of uncertainty for staff and clients.
Communications Director, Andree Froude, says while the wheels of justice may have turned slowly, the outcome was worth the wait.
“Clearly Judge Woodhouse spent a considerable amount of time in reviewing what was a complex case,” she says.
“All we ever wanted was a fair process. We are happy to be judged on our merits but in this case the process was clearly unfair.”
“Our staff and clients are just relieved the uncertainty is over.”
The Problem Gambling Foundation is grateful to its legal team headed by Mai Chen who represented them exceptionally well.
“It has been a stressful time and created uncertainty and upheaval for all of us and for the wider problem gambling sector,” Andree Froude says.
“This has been a difficult time and now we just want to get on with what we do best, preventing the harm from gambling.”
