Rankin Not Seeking Conservative Leadership
Amidst speculation and rumours linking a variety of names with the leadership of the Conservative Party, Christine Rankin has indicated definitively that she will not seek the leadership.
Ms Rankin, who resigned as CEO of the Party after the election in September, remains a member of the Party’s Board and has indicated that leadership of the Party is not something she would be interested in.
Ms Rankin says: ‘Whilst the leadership of the Party is not something I would not be interested in myself, I support the selection of a new leader and have faith that the Board will make the right decision.'
