Last Chance to Enrol for the Northland by-Election

Last Chance to Enrol for the Northland by-Election

There’s just over a week left to make sure you’re on the electoral roll and ready to vote in the Northland by-election.

“If you’ve moved house, or have turned 18 since the last election, you must get on the roll to have your say in the Northland by-election,” says Deborah Darton, Registrar of Electors, Northland Electorate.

“Everyone enrolled in the general electorate of Northland should have received their EasyVote packs in the mail by now. If your EasyVote pack hasn’t turned up, you need to enrol or update your details now.”

“The last chance to enrol is Friday, 27 March. You cannot enrol on election day,” she says.

To get an enrolment form, go online at www.elections.org.nz, freetext your name and address to 3676, call 0800 36 76 56, or visit any PostShop. Enrolment forms will also be available at advance voting places throughout the electorate.

If you can’t send your form in, or visit a PostShop in time, you can visit www.elections.org.nz and fill in the enrolment form, print it, sign and date it, and then either fax it, or scan and upload it at www.elections.org.nz/enrolme or email it. Full instructions are included with the form.

Information about enrolling to vote is available at www.elections.org.nz.
