Kiwi YouTubers Join Beauty Bloggers From Around the World to Help the #BeCrueltyFree Campaign End Cosmetics Animal

WELLINGTON (9 March 2015) – Some of New Zealand’s most popular beauty and lifestyle bloggers are joining with bloggers
and YouTubers from around the world, in support of Humane Society International’s #BeCrueltyFree campaign to end animal
testing of cosmetics.
Sarah Lilly from Dunedin (The Lilly Mint), Moira Clunie from Auckland (Auckland Vegan), Meagan Kerr from Auckland (This is Meagan Kerr), Rebecca Rayne from Auckland, NZBloggers / The BrunchClub, Charli Marie, Jessie Hutchins (CrueltyFreeBeautyAwarenessNZ) and Analesha from Christchurch (Lipstick & Bubbles) are all taking part in ‘Blog For Bunnies’ during #BeCrueltyFree Week. Globally they’ll be joined by fellow bloggers
from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Their blogs
will help HSI to raise awareness about cosmetics cruelty and to demonstrate support for turning the whole world
cruelty-free.
Internationally, #BeCrueltyFree is excited to be working with some of the most influential cruelty-free beauty bloggers
around including Marion & Sanne at DerpinaMODE, Rosianna Halse Rojas, Ashlee Piper at The LilFoxes, Tashina Combs at Logical Harmony, Courtney Nawara at PhyrraBeauty for the Bold, Sunny Subramanian at Vegan Beauty Review, Whitney at Eco Vegan Gal, and Jodi at GooRoo Beauty.

bunny-friendly beauty experts to help us raise awareness about how consumers everywhere can support our #BeCrueltyFree
campaign to end cosmetics cruelty.”
In New Zealand, the #BeCrueltyFree campaign is leading efforts to see a ban on cosmetics animal testing introduced via
an amendment to the Animal Welfare Act. A ban already has the support of NZ’s cosmetics industry, and style and wellness
blogger Meagan Kerr agrees that cruelty-free cosmetics are the only way to go.
Kerr said: “It’s definitely time for New Zealand to make animal testing of cosmetics illegal, just like Europe and India
has done. We have some awesome cruelty-free brands here in New Zealand and it would be so great for consumers to be able
to buy ‘Made in New Zealand’ knowing that no animals were hurt in the testing.”
Kiwis can urge politicians to support a cosmetics animal testing ban by sending them an e-card.
