To start the year off on Korero mai Ki Ahau, this week’s host Kingi Taurua will talk on Saturday with our political guru Henare Kingi about what the politicians got out of their annual trip to Ratana Pa, and what the political challenges will be for Maori in the year ahead.

On Sunday we stay with Ratana and its annual commemoration, with Apotoro Mataara Wall from Tuwharetoa discussing the movement’s beginnings, the maramatanga and the legacy of Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana

Korero Mai Ki Ahau a half hour features programme every Saturday and Sunday from noon, which takes an in – depth look at issues affecting te ao Maori. Totally in te reo Maori brought to you byWaatea News in association with Te Mangai Paho.
