Social Assistance (Portability to Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau) Bill
On 4 November 2014, the House of Representatives referred the Social Assistance (Portability to Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau) Bill to the Social Services Select Committee for consideration and report to the House by 4 May 2015.
The Social Assistance (Portability to Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau) Bill would give effect to the Government’s policy on portability of New Zealand superannuation and the veteran’s pension to the Cook Islands, Niue, and Tokelau.
The committee has resolved to publicly call for submissions and advises that submissions will close at 5pm on Wednesday, 28 January 2015.
