TAXPAYERS' UNION WELCOMES KEY'S RESTRAINT IN PROPPING UP ACT
29 SEPTEMBER 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Taxpayers’ Union is welcoming the announcement that ACT MP David Seymour will not be appointed as a Minister.
Last week the Union called on Mr Key to ensure that he was not using Ministerial portfolios (and the associated taxpayer funded resources) to prop up ACT.
Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan Williams says:
“While Mr Seymour will get a boost to his salary as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary, he will not get the considerable taxpayer funded resources and staff available to Ministers.”
“Taxpayers will welcome the restraint."
