MEDIA RELEASE
ONLY CONCESSION IS FROM THE TAXPAYER
29 SEPTEMBER 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Responding to the confidence and supply agreement reached between John Key and Peter Dunne’s United Future Party, Taxpayers’ Union Executive Director Jordan Williams says:
“Other than taxpayer funded perks, United Future has failed to negotiate a single policy concession. It’s a rort on the taxpayer.”
“Short of National having another rogue Aaron Gilmore-type MP, shoring up the vote seems to be another exercise from the Prime Minister in wasting taxpayers’ money. At the very least, John Key should reduce his own number of Ministers to compensate taxpayers who now must pay to prop up the United Future Party with a Minister of nothing."
