Winston’s Waffle doesn’t hide the facts
The Conservative Party is celebrating the ASA's finding announced today that rejected all but one of the complaints raised against its controversial “Conservatives or Peters” pamphlet.
“Despite pages of complaints from Peters legal team the only part of the complaint that has been upheld is a small wording change from “5 key recommendations” to “ 5+ solutions” says Mr Craig “The facts are the out there now and voters have plenty of reasons not to vote for Peters.”
“On the point of alcohol reform we think the public get it. The Conservatives will implement the 5+ solutions and Winston won’t. That’s clear for voters. It’s a party vote for the Conservative party to get the 5+ solutions implemented.” Says Mr Craig
“In fact, the 5 key recommendations from the report were taken up by experts, academics and leaders who were calling on the government to heed the Law Commission recommendations.” Says Colin Craig
“The Conservative Party will implement these key recommendations in response to New Zealanders calling on political leaders to take action against the harms of our binge drinking culture, which has harmed the health and well-being of our communities for far too long.” Says Mr Craig.
