Political Debate on Family Violence

Friday 5th September 6-7.30pm

The Dunedin Collaboration Against Family Violence was happy to host a political debate on Family Violence chaired by Professor Nicola Atwool of the University of Otago. Family Violence is a huge problem in our community and we invited representatives of four major parties to discuss how they propose to challenge family violence in our community.

It is clear from the debate that we need a change in government and that we need cross-party support for the 'real changes' that are needed to end family violence in our community.

To enable as many people as possible to participate in the debate, we are sought questions in advance that were put to the panel. The discussion was live-streamed so that it could be watched from home, and a copy of the recording will be available to download after the event.
