Porno king must be punished – McVicar
The Conservative Party are calling for ‘punishment’ to fit the crime after a Hastings man pleaded guilty to 61 child
pornography and sex charges in the Hastings District Court today.
The man also had more than 700,000 deleted pornographic images and recordings on his computer.
The man was remanded on bail until sentencing at Hastings District Court on October 22.
The Conservative Party Justice Spokesman, Garth McVicar said the Judge, Tony Adeane had an opportunity to send a
deterrent message to all copy-cat offenders.
“Not only must this porno king be punished but a very loud message must be sent to anyone else contemplating committing
such despicable acts.”
“I realise the P C brigade will say he needs rehabilitating but protecting victims from this vermin must be the Judges
priority, and besides I am yet to see any evidence these things can be rehabilitated.”
“This man has not only been abusing his own daughter and her friends he has been feeding the porn industry over many
years. The Public need to realise that an offence in the virtual world means a child has been abused in the real world
to enable this sick industry to get the images in the first place.”
“Anyone capable of offending to this degree over many years needs locking away for a very long time, to protect the
community and future victims.” ENDS
