Key Rises in Latest Poll Despite Problems
John Key's personal popularity appears to have weathered the worst of the Dirty Politics storm, according to tonight's 3News-Reid Research poll.
The National Party leader's standing has gone up nearly four points in the past week, with 45 per cent of those polled naming him as their preferred Prime Minister.
But 3News Political Editor Patrick Gower says other numbers in tonight's poll may not be such good reading for Key.
"Just because his personal popularity has taken a bounce doesn't mean it's going to be easy for Key. In fact, tonight's result will create a genuine dilemma for him.
"There have been some significant shifts in the minor parties. A few of them will be celebrating with Campbell tonight, and others will be commiserating. One party will be really stoked, it has skipped ahead of a rival."
* Full details on the 3News/Reid Research poll will be released tonight on 3News at 6pm.
* The minor party leaders join Campbell Live for dinner at 7pm.
* During and following the dinner, RadioLIVE's Karyn Hay and Andrew Fagan will replay segments, digest the content and invite feedback.
