KEEP OUR ASSETS PICKET OF LEADERS CHRISTCHURCH DEBATE
TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2nd, 6 p.m.
ST MARGARETS COLLEGE, SHREWSBURY STREET, MERIVALE
John Key and David Cunliffe are taking part in a Leaders Debate in Christchurch at St Margaret College’s Charles Luney Auditorium tomorrow night (Tuesday September 2nd).
Keep Our Assets Canterbury will be holding a picket outside the school, from 6 p.m. outside the Shrewsbury Street entrance.
We will be there to make the point that the threatened sale of Christchurch’s assets is a national, not merely a local, issue. Productive, moneymaking, socially useful assets owned by the people of Christchurch should not be sold to pay for loss making Government white elephants, such as the proposed covered rugby stadium and the convention centre. We want both Key and Cunliffe to know that.
We will be there with our Keep Our Assets banner and our white elephant. And we will have a leaflet to distribute to those attending the debate.
This is an information picket, not a protest.
