Clarification on Effigy Footage
TVNZ's Breakfast programme this morning aired an interview with the Prime Minister, John Key, which included discussion of a video of the burning of an effigy of John Key which has appeared on the WhaleOil website. During this interview Mr Key was allowed to state, unchallenged:
“It’s worth making the point Internet MANA y’know put these videos together and put it on their site under their banner, so they’re the ones promoting it.”
Internet MANA is not responsible in any way for creating this video or promoting it, nor is anyone associated with the party.
