Published: Fri 8 Aug 2014 10:00 AM
On The Nation this weekend…. the first multi-party debate of the election campaign, featuring the leaders of all six smaller parties represented in the last Parliament.
Metiria Turei (Green Party), Winston Peters (New Zealand First), Peter Dunne (United Future), Te Ururoa Flavell (Maori Party), Jamie Whyte (ACT), and Hone Harawira (Mana Party) will join host Lisa Owen to debate the decisive issues of the campaign, including foreign ownership, housing, and unemployment. And then there’s the deals – who’s in, who’s out, and can they all get along?
The final section of the show will feature 3News political reporter Brook Sabin and Otago University political scientist Bryce Edwards for an analysis of the issues raised and the performance of the debaters.
And 7 Days’ comics Jeremy Corbett and Paul Ego will return for their second episode of “Politics in Sixty Seconds” — this week tackling the issue of foreign ownership.
