RSA condemns downing of flight MH17
The Royal New Zealand RSA has today denounced the downing of flight MH17, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, as an act of terror.
RSA National President, Don McIver, says that RSA members are committed to the promotion of international peace and stability, and that members are appalled at the loss of these 298 innocent civilian lives.
“There can be no reason for this attack on flight MH17. It is well beyond normal rules of warfare and the RSA condemns it as an unprovoked act of terror.”
“We join the international demand for justice and respect for the victims and their families,” says Mr McIver.
“We in the RSA offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of those whose lives have been taken. We will remember them.”
