NZ Independent Coalition Party Membership List Submitted
The NZ Independent Coalition has applied to register as a political party, submitting the required membership numbers and documents to the Electoral Commission.
NZ Independent Coalition offers NZ voters something new, a challenge to the status quo said Party Chairperson Michael O’Neill.
“New Zealanders who want better democracy and who no longer have faith in party politics will be attracted to our progressive polices. Together we can make our wonderful country better and the electorate can have their voice represented throughout the parliamentary term by being involved with their MP’s vote.”
It is the view of the NZ Independent Coalition that Party politics is best serving big business and minority sector interests. Numerous Bills born out of Party policy have failed referendum support yet have passed through Parliament by Party vote.
“For voters, Elections have been a balancing act between Party policies which are least damaging. This has bred a climate of political distrust in MP’s and negativity towards the political process,” said Mr O’Neill.
Under the NZ Independent Coalition electorates will be constantly involved in directing coalition MP’s vote, thereby giving ownership back to the people.
We will celebrate good legislation on both sides of the House and work to make it even better.
Registration will mean that the NZ Independent Coalition will be eligible to contest the 2014 Election and be able to take this message of accountable governance to the people of New Zealand.
Confirmation of the Party is expected within the next four weeks.
Following registration the NZ Independent Coalition will announce policies and candidates.
