ACT announces ACT President John Thompson as Papakura candidate
ACT Leader Jamie Whyte is pleased to announce John Thompson as ACT's candidate for Papakura.
“John Thompson is an exporter who is heavily involved in the kiwifruit, apple, and horticulture industries. Previously, John helped market the fishing industry offshore. He specialises in establishing New Zealand's presence in new export markets throughout Asia," said Dr Whyte.
“John is a long time ACT member, the current ACT President, and a previous ACT candidate in all but one election. He is actively involved in his community, having served on local school boards and sports club committees.”
John Thompson says he is looking forward to introducing Papakura to ACT's plans to introduce lower and flatter taxes and a three strike policy for burglary.
“National needs a reliable coalition partner so New Zealand can retain a stable government that values freedom, choice, and personal responsibility. The best way to achieve this is by giving your party vote to ACT," said Mr Thompson.
Dr Whyte said that John will be seeking only the party vote in Papakura.
