Pink shirt day an opportunity for workers to assess bullying prevention
The Public Service Association (PSA) says Pink Shirt Day, a national day against bullying, is a great opportunity for
workers to assess how effective their workplace is at preventing bullying.
Glenn Barclay, PSA Acting National Secretary, said “The PSA was pleased to contribute to WorkSafe New Zealand’s
guidelines to prevent and respond to workplace bullying.”
“The PSA is encouraging our health and safety delegates in worksites across New Zealand to use WorkSafe’s Workplace
Assessment Tool.
“Using the Workplace Assessment Tool, workers can get a quick overview of how their workplaces can better support and
engage all staff.
“Workplace bullying is a serious issue that impacts on far too many New Zealanders.
“We all deserve the opportunity to thrive at work, but bullying prevents that from happening,” said Glenn Barclay.
