DSC chooses Barry Pulford for Napier

MEDIA RELEASE

DSC chooses Barry Pulford for Napier

Experienced campaigner Barry Pulford will fly the Democrats for Social Credit flag in the Napier electorate this election.

Barry recognises the need for good transport infrastructure to support the local economy.

“Storm damage closed the Gisborne-Wairoa-Napier railway line two years ago. Since then, freight has been trucked and travellers take the bus through this difficult terrain. I want the line repaired and re-opened for freight and passenger services, without further delay.”

Barry Pulford's vision for NZ includes strong conservation values and a basic income. His qualifications in environmental management reflect his concerns about contemporary issues such as water and air quality.

“Waste minimisation and/or pyrolysis, clean water, clean air, and a GE free New Zealand are my priorities.”

Barry lives in Flaxmere and works in the retail grocery sector.

He serves his local community as a member of the Flaxmere Community Patrol, as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Hawke’s Bay YHA, and as a committee member of the Ahuriri Estuary Protection Society.

Barry also serves the wider community: he belongs to Kiva Kiwis, a group of people living in or having links with NZ, connected with Kiva Microfunds commonly known as Kiva.org and KivaZip.org. This non-profit organisation allows people to lend money via the internet to low income/underserved entrepreneurs and students in over 70 countries. All the loans distributed by KivaZip.org are at 0% interest to the borrower.
Barry Pulford is the Democrats for Social Credit Party’s Environment and GE Issues spokesman.
