Toll drivers dispute – BP fuel deliveries in Northland
In response to recent media attention, BP wishes to make its position clear in relation to the on-going dispute between Toll Carriers and some of their employees. BP is not involved in this dispute; it is an employment issue between Toll and some of their employees.
Toll Carriers deliver fuel on behalf of BP to customers and retail sites in Northland and is part of the Toll Group organisation. BP does not set the pay rates in relation to this dispute. BP has broad and consistent distribution agreements across the country, as well as operating its own fleet. Toll Carriers forms part of this distribution network.
BP maintains its position as a good employer across all its business channels.
We respect and acknowledge the freedom of expression and are aware of on-going strike and protest action at some of our sites. We also maintain an obligation and priority to ensure a safe and accessible environment for both our staff and customers.
During this dispute, BP also maintains its right to utilise alternative distribution agreements to ensure continuity of supply to BP customers in Northland. BP’s focus is its customers and we don’t envisage disruption to our supply.
