Internet Party Picnic

Internet Party Picnic

Members of New Zealand’s newest political movement, the Internet Party, have been invited to attend the party’s inaugural members’ picnic at Kim Dotcom’s Coatesville property this Sunday.

Kicking off at midday, the members-only Internet Party Picnic will include speeches from party visionary Kim Dotcom and chief executive Vikram Kumar, as well as special performances from Kiwi songstress Hollie Smith and folk-pop duo Joseph & Maia.

A key focus of the event is to let members hear first-hand how the Internet Party is progressing, as well as giving them an initial opportunity to have a say in how the party’s policies will be formulated.

“We’ve already launched our Action Agenda, which sets out our broader principles, and that’s clearly connected with the more than 2000 people who have already joined the Internet Party as members,” said Kumar.

“We’re looking forward to meeting members face-to-face on Sunday, enjoying some great entertainment and talking about some policy ideas, too. Our goal is to make sure the ideas and interests of our members are reflected strongly in our policies and in the way we’ll contest the general election on September 20.

“The picnic is a way to kick off those discussions while still having fun.”
