The Nation 5/4/14: Supermarkets, Shane Jones, Dan Wootton

Published: Fri 4 Apr 2014 04:17 PM
On The Nation this weekend… fresh allegations of bullying by Countdown supermarkets owner Progressive Enterprises. Our new host Lisa Owen will speak exclusively to the Mad Butcher chief executive Michael Morton and Local Government New Zealand president Lawrence Yule. Then TV3’s political editor Patrick Gower will talk to the man behind the initial allegations, Labour MP Shane Jones, who has more to say about Progressive.
And, with the royal family touching down next week, Lisa Owen talks to New Zealand-born showbiz journalist Dan Wootton about the new generation’s move from sovereignty towards celebrity.
We’ll debate all this and more with our panel former Green Party MP Sue Kedgley, Hive News founder Bernard Hickey, and TV3 political editor Patrick Gower.
