International drug policy symposium 'PATHWAY TO REFORM' has confirmed the last three key note speakers that will appear
at the Auckland event on March 20th next month.
Dr. Brian Emerson (CANADA), Fiona Patten (AUSTRALIA) and Rick Doblin Ph.D (USA) round out the list of international
experts speaking at the symposium. They join Amanda Feilding and Ethan Nadelmann on the line up. They will also
participate in a panel discussion MC’ed by political and media commentator, Martyn Bradbury.
New Zealand has been in the global spotlight as a progressive force in drug reform due to the recent passing of its
Psychoactive Substances Act 2013. Because of this, our government has received international recognition for its
innovative solution to an issue that is affecting countries all over the world.
“Having so many experts and industry leaders coming to New Zealand for this symposium is a clear signal that the world
is watching and hoping that regulation of psychoactive products is the way forward,” said Grant Hall, General Manager at
The STAR Trust who is hosting the symposium.
With only six weeks to go, the event to be held at The Nathan Club in Auckland’s CBD promises to be a historic day for
drug policy reformers.
